Growing Community

The community of Psithyroi Online is growing. When Psithyroi came out the first time, (forum), there were only about 1-10 members. Now we have got 207!! And the most online today, has been changed from 24 to 55!!

As I promised, fresh news!! :D Yay

I'm Sk8 the teams newest programmer ^^

I suppose I'll talk about my life a bit too :p
First, I'm a high school senior (when school starts again) I enjoy programming and playing games with nice particles, gameplay, features etc my favorite genres are Bullet hell, Shmup, Platformer/Side scroller, adventure, physics sandbox etc.. but as long as the gameplay looks fun I'll still play it.

A little more on my programming background.. Well I have actually been into game making and programming since I was 9 simple stuff like game maker which got me started in game dev, I would really recommend it for anyone wanting to learn to program It's great, simple and easy to use once you get out of d&d you can make some nice games in less than a few hours, as long as you have the idea for it, anyways enough about gamemaker after a few years of game maker I started learning real languages like java,C++ etc
nothing too interesting to talk about after that, I've made a lot of engines in a multitude of programming languages but haven't had enough creativity to release a game of my own

Crazy and I have actually been friends since we were around 8 or 9 IRL I'm the one that got crazy interested in the world of programming and web dev, I also help out some of my programmer friends with their issues (no not girl issues )  bugs etc occasionally
.
I'm also a little into spriting / pixel art but I don't think I'm any good at it so I never really use anything I've made

Well that's my introduction hope it wasn't too unbearable
just let me know if there is anything more you want to know about me I think that should be enough though.

No Alpha

There was going to be Alpha, but looks like they took the
decision of making Alpha for Moderators and Owners only.
Its not that bad, it has their reasons. Beta is going to come out
between November to December so wait awhile!!!

New Jobs!!

Sorry for not publishing for awhile, I had some problems with this.

Hunters: An advancement job from the archers. It is believed that they are very strong when it comes to bows, arrows, and they usually have contact with birds, or falcons.

Development Stages

Well here is how would the game be played out :)

From: Crazy (Owner)

Okay, first I have to announce that all member accounts on the forum will be recorded on this Tuesday, and those users will be available for Closed Alpha testing. All other members that register past Tuesday will no longer be eligible.  What IS closed alpha? Basically, it's the testing of the Psithyroi engine and fixing any bugs that may occur. There will not be many, if any, features of the actual Psithyroi game; just the testing of the stability and features of the engine that will then be upgraded and filled with Psithyroi content in the future. This stage will be coming relatively soon.

Second, Closed Beta. The date at which user accounts will be deadlined for closed beta is uncertain still, and I think I may have a different way of deciding who will get to access it. Maybe take the top 50-100 members of the community? Not sure yet. But anyway, closed beta will be the testing of Psithyroi features as they are in development. This will most likely be the longest development stage. This stage will be used only by a select amount of users (mentioned above) and will be testing and debugging the critical features of Psithyroi as our team rolls them out.

Third, Open Beta. Open beta will not have a user amount restriction; anyone may try it out. This is when most debugging of Psithyroi will be complete, and when features will still be added regularly. Think of it as a more secure and developed closed beta, for everyone.

Fourth and final, release. At this point Psithyroi will be fully released and most of the game's content will be fully developed, and ready to be called a game. There will still be updates every now and then, but it will basically be complete and ready for play.
